Tony Gurden

Tony was a member of the Westpower/ElectroNet finance team from 2011 until 2019 when he made the decision to move into a more hands on role within the Lines Division, as a Network Estimator.

Tony’s new role sees him pricing internal and external work requests, ensuring the full scope of work has been considered, and that the final result will meet with the customer’s expectations and electricity network requirements.

Cole Watson

Cole commenced work with ElectroNet in the role of Trainee Line Mechanic but has subsequently gained qualification as a Distribution Line Mechanic and Faultman.  In November 2018 Cole moved into the role of Networks Co-Ordinator.  In this role Cole supports the Lines Supervisor and Operations Manager by co-ordinating the projects and maintenance works undertaken by the ElectroNet Lines Division. 

Matthew Kerr

Matt Kerr is a qualified Distribution & Transmission Line Mechanic, including Live Line competency, who was promoted into the role of Lines Supervisor after demonstrating his organisational and team leadership skills.

Matt supports the Operations Manager by organising the lines workforce to meet the ever growing demands of a large and varied client base.

Matt has led a number of large electrical projects, along with the installation of a UFB network throughout the West Coast.

Sandy Keown-Scott

Sandy has a strong background in management, health and safety, business administration and human resources across the civil contracting, mining, retail and wholesale industries. She has been self-employed, worked for SMEs, an SOE and multi-billion-dollar corporations, and understands the challenges of maintaining quality standards in terms of staff performance and project delivery.

Simon Harvey

Simon is a registered Electrician (E258330) and has been employed with ElectroNet since 2007

Simons experience is based in large commercial and industrial electrical installations as well as fibre networks. He was involved in the successful delivery of the Chorus Ultra-fast broadband network rollout for Greymouth.

With good technical knowledge and a strong focus on health and safety he is able to assist both supervisors and field staff in delivering a successful project.

Andre Manton

Andre is the latest member to the Project Team and brings a wealth of knowledge to the company. Andre brings 20 years of substation work experience which includes station switching, fault finding, station maintenance to new installations.

In his role as a Project Manager, Andre brings an ability to assist others involved in the successful delivery of the project.

Gary Williams

Gary is employed at Electronet as the Network Manager - SCADA & Communications, a positon he has held since 2003.  He has a long history with Westpower dating back to 1984 when he was first employed as an Engineer Cadet.  Gary’s current role includes carrying out strategic planning for SCADA assets, along with managing the capital and maintenance works on Westpower’s Communications network and SCADA equipment.

Terry Hughes

Terry is employed at ElectroNet as the Network Manager for Westpower Lines, a position he has held since 2003. He has a long history with Westpower dating back to 1981 when he was first employed as an Assistant Lines Surveyor and has since held several roles including Line Mechanic, IT Technician and Asset Administrator administering Westpower assets.

Terry’s current role as Network Manager - Lines has him managing lines related assets and associated processes.

Cosmin Cosma

Cosmin is an experienced design engineer who has been responsible for the design and technical performance of high voltage substations up to and including 220 kV.

He is skilled in transmission protection scheme design and settings calculations and is regularly called upon to carry out post fault analysis and to determine optimum remedial action responses. In addition, he is familiar with all aspects of substation design including primary plant, earthing, switchgear specification along with secondary system design.

Andrew Bone

Andrew’s electrical career commenced as an Apprentice Electrician in 1980.  Andrew is now a registered Electrical Inspector and has over 30 years of High Voltage Experience.  He currently holds the position with ElectroNet Services as Projects Supervisor.

Andrew has vast experience organizing, planning, constructing and managing high voltage electrical projects and installations.  He has led his Electrical Fitter team through many successful projects both for Westpower and also external clients including Trustpower, Todd Energy, Transpower and Westland Milk Products.
